9/11 Freedom Celebration

Firefighters and police from St. Petersburg, Largo, Pinellas Park, Dunedin, Tampa, Clearwater, Seminole, Treasure Island, Tarpon Springs, Hillsborough County, Pinellas Suncoast, St. Petersburg Beach, and Gulfport will gather outside the Vinoy in full uniform in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The 343 firefighters and 77 officers involved represent the number lost in the World Trade Center attack and collapse, and “is intended to remind the world of the great sacrifices made by these men and women,” organizers say.

Afterward, families can enjoy free food, fun activities, and a display of emergency vehicles in .
