"Chowdah" Challenge at the IAC

Bring your best chowder to the Industrial Arts Center to compete for hand-blown glass art and glass-blowing certificates (not to mention bragging rights).

All competitors receive a one-year individual membership to the IAC, a commemorative apron and two beverage tickets for tasting.

Cooks must register by Jan. 25. Chowder must be prepared in advance and is expected to be served to the public. Please bring your own sterno-powered chafing dishes or gas-powered grills. Generators or tents will not be allowed.

There are no restrictions on ingredients, but a complete list of ingredients must be provided at your table for the safety of guests with food allergies.

Judging will be a blind tasting by local celebrities on the quality of aroma, consistency, taste and aftertaste. There also will be a People's Choice Award based on the most public votes cast at $1 per vote. (There is a limit on the number of public votes that can be purchased.)
