ENERGY DANCE

...is a weekly gathering to move free-style to a variety of music in a safe and re-laxed space. Enjoy a safe container, deep and wide enough to accept and hold all parts of you exactly as you are in any given moment. Embrace the totality of your self and allow your authentic nature to come forth. Find in it a sacred prac-tice or just come to get away for a bit. Move at your own speed and in your own way—active, vigorous, and fast; swaying and stretching; or other just relax, sit or lie, and enjoy the music.

Each session begins with establishing a circle of energy and doing simple move-ments to gather and move energy through the body. About 20 minutes of warm-up follow, then there is a short phase of group exercise. The main part of the ga-thering is an hour-long "wave" dance, where the music moves from slow and gentle through rapid and intense to calm and quiet. The session ends with a few minutes of meditation and community sharing.
