For Girls: Capturing Colors in a Glass Paperweight

The Girl Scouts of West Central Florida present this program for girls entering grades 6 to 12. Watch as a master glass blower gathers molten clear glass from the 2,000-degree furnace. Girls can take hold of the pipe to add their choice of colors and reheat, then use the block tool to shape their paperweights. Finished pieces must cool overnight and can be mailed for a minimal cost. Registration required.
