Community Corner

"Growing Greener" Sustainable Urban Gardening Symposium

Learn about growing chemical-free gardens, making natural medicines, eating healthy and vital foods, and caring for our bodies, our children, and the earth. Includes giveaways and information on organic food production, natural medicine healing, harvesting water, food preparation, and more. Guest speaker  Pamela Jo Hatley, public attorney, who practices land use and environmental law, will share strategies to build a healthy community and live sustainably.

All proceeds will purchase 100 fruit-bearing trees and other edibles to be planted and established in Gulfport immediately following the event. There will also be a raffle to generate support for installing an 825-gallon water-harvesting system as a demo site in Gulfport.
