City of Imagination and the Gulfport Arts Center are proud to present an Opening Reception for works by recipients of the Gulfport Centennial Celebration Awards on Friday, April 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Catherine Hickman Theatre Gallery space, 5501 27th Avenue S. This is an exhibit of works by award winners from the Centennial Arts Celebration held at the historic Gulfport Casino last October, a juried show judged by artist and photographer Jack Breit.
The exhibit will feature works by award winning artists Clint Stone, Patsi Aguero, Jo Mills, Jill Oldenski and Doug Merritt. During the reception artists will be available to discuss their works and mingle with the public, and the trolley will make a stop at the theater for your convenience. There will be a cash bar and light refreshments will be provided at no cost. There is no admission cost for this event; however, donations are accepted to help further support the arts in Gulfport.
After the Opening Reception, the exhibit will run from April 2, 2011 through April 30 in the Catherine Hickman Theatre Gallery space.
