Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay group will be working on the three houses in Gulfport during the month of April. The contractor portion will be complete prior to April 28, 2012. On that Saturday, April 28, volunteers are needed to paint and landscape the following properties: 5200 - 8th Avenue South, 5213 - 13th Avenue South and 5406 - 13th Avenue South.
The rallying point will be at 7:30 A.M. in the parking lot of Zoomer's Auto Body Shop at 4919 Tangerine Avenue South in Gulfport. Volunteers are advised to bring their own gloves and hand tools for yard work. The goal is to have at least 15 volunteers at each house. All material is being provided. McDonalds and JSR Training are providing breakfast just prior to starting the work project.

National Rebuild Day is a national program in which every affiliate across the nation participates. It is historically held on the last Saturday in April and was borne from a program called "Christmas in April." Rebuilding Together has 200 affiliates nationwide and this April 28th, they will all join in National Rebuild Day and address the homes of numerous residents all over the United States, among them low income families, senior citizens and veterans.
Partners so far this year include: National Association of the Remodeling Industry Tampa Bay chapter, LocalShops1, JSR Training, Job Corps of Pinellas County, Progress Energy, Honeywell, Advanced Protection Technologies, Wells Fargo, Franklin Templeton Investments, and Raymond James Financial. Additional funding for the Healthy Homes services is provided through the generosity of Allegany Franciscan Ministries and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay is a non-profit organization, which provides home repair services to low-income families, the elderly, military veterans and their families, and persons with disabilities in the Tampa Bay area. The focus of Rebuilding Together's work is to make homes safer, healthier and more energy efficient for their owners.
