Come enjoy a traditional pot luck block party, with live music, October 15th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. The Zone 1 Crime Watch Group is hosting a Pot Luck Block Party featuring the live music of Michael Hyde and the Impacs. Enjoy listening to classic 50's and 60's songs while getting to know your neighbors and taking a stand against crime.
Anyone living or doing business in Zone 1 (between 64th and 58th Streets and 7th Ave to Town Shores) is welcome to come. Bring a dish to share and your lawn chair. If you don't wish to eat with us, please come for the music and camaraderie.
The Block Party is a great way to meet new neighbors and feel more connected to your neighborhood. It also helps bring more neighbors into our crime watch group, where we work on crime related issues within our neighborhoods and to keep our streets safer. We work closely with the Gulfport Police Department and learn how to help protect ourselves, as well as our neighbors. As a member, you can do as little or as much to help as you want.
The Block Party will be held on Hull Street between 7th and 9th Avenue S. (Gulfport). Limited chairs will be available for those who don't have them or who can't bring them, on a first come basis. Please park along Hull, 60th or 59th Streets, but leave room for emergency vehicles and please do not block neighbor’s driveways or park on their lawn.
