How long have you been with the Gulfport Police Department? Close to 14 years

What do you like about your job?

"Sounds cliché, but helping people. I also have seen this police department change for the better due to good people working here."

What do you dislike about your job?  

"I wouldn’t have had an answer for you when I started, and I really can’t say what I dislike due to my position. So I will say that sometimes the different personalities you run into can make a long day even longer."

What inspired you to become an officer?  

"I can’t say I was inspired. It seemed like a cool job. I didn’t know it would be a great career."

What do you like about Gulfport?

"The people are passionate about their town. It can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes I don’t know if I like it, but I definitely respect it."

What do you want the general public to know about the Gulfport Police Department and/or the officers?

"Another cliché, but we are here to help. The police officers, detectives, dispatchers, and support personnel put in a great amount of work so this town can be safe all while dealing with their own personal issues and everyday struggles. I am proud of each and every one of them and the job they do. Thanks guys!"
