"I enjoy the excitement of the job."
What do you dislike about your job?
"Between the excitement, there can be some down time. [Also dislike] the shift work and time away from family."
What inspired you to become an officer?
"My father was a police officer. I look up to my father . . and the excitement [of the job]."
What do you like about Gulfport?
"It's a nice, small community. It has a lot of dynamics . . . has a very big art community. At the same time, just down home people. It's a good place."
What do you want the general public to know about the Gulfport Police Department?
"We're not your enemies. A lot of people think your just there to write tickets . . . a lot of what we do is educational. We're there to improve your quality of life. "
