Five Things to Know: Easter Weekend Edition

A pair of plays, Fun In The Sun, Pet Pride Parade and Sunrise Service at The Pier! Let Patch help you make this Easter Weekend one to remember!

Freedom Found — "Choose who to be…" Freedom Found is the story of a family barely surviving an escape from an oppressive tyranny in a foreign land and coming to America for Freedom. The story emphasizes the importance of moral choices and living up to our full potential as individuals. On My Mind ...On My Mind  is a "fast paced" show of six short plays, directed by at the Schork Munsell Studios, located at the Artists Alley of Beach Blvd at 29th Ave S. The Schork Munsell Studios is an art space that features art pieces by local artists, including sculptures, paintings, original films, galleries, literary readings and more. Shows are at 7 and 9 p.m. The price is $15 and reservations are requested. Fun in the Sun – The City of Gulfport and Stetson College of Law Public Service Fellows present this fun event. FREE festivities will include an egg hunt for children ages 8 and under, a raffle for baskets, inflatables, entertainment, food and fun. Children will also have the opportunity to climb into the driver’s seat of their favorite vehicle: police car, police boat, fire truck, ambulance, garbage truck and many more. The 4th Annual Pet Pride Parade  Bring your pet "out"! This event is a fabulous day of fun to celebrate PRIDE with your pets while supporting St. Pete Pride and the new non-profit organization Pets4Dorothy. Easter Sunday at The Pier — Florida Resurrection House, Inc., local churches, the Salvation Army and The Pier welcome the community to an ecumenical worship service on Easter Sunday at 6:45 a.m., with music by the Salvation Army Band and the Unity Gospel Ensemble.
