"Anime Afternoons" at the Gulfport Public Library
What: The library presents its free summer reading program for teens every Friday until Aug. 12. Open to ages 13 and up.

Why Go: This is the last "Anime Afternoon".

What: Join the Gulfport Neighbors and friends at their second litter cleanup event.
When: Saturday, August 13
Time: 8 a.m.
Where: Meet at the Gulfport Neighborhood Center, 1617 49th St. S.
Why Go: Grab some gloves and sunscreen and help clean up the 49th St. area. Organizers plan on cleaning up the area between the Pinellas Trail crossing and the 22nd Ave S. intersection.
Price: Free
What: This fund-raiser for Geckofest encompasses nine pubs, including Gulfport on the Rocks, O'Maddy's, The Village Pub, Peninsula Inn, Ecco, Pia's Trattoria, La Cote Basque, and more.
When: Saturday, August 13
Time: 3 - 9 p.m.
Where: Gulfport On The Rocks, 5413 Shore Blvd S.
Why Go: It's fun and it's a fundraiser.

Milonga La Playa: An Evening of Dinner Buffet and Dancing
What: Experience an evening of Argentine Tango - dinner, performance and social dancing at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom.
When: Saturday, August 13
Time: 8 p.m. - 12 a.m.
Where: Gulfport Casino Ballroom, 5500 Shore Blvd S.
Why Go: The event is for all ages. Come dance the night away.
Price: $12, $10 for students with ID
What: T and Me Tea Company invites you to wear your best Mad Hat to the Mad Hatters brunch from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
When: Sunday, August 14
Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Where: T and Me Tea Company LLC, 2908 1/2 Beach Blvd. S.
Why Go: Dress up and bring your family and friends. Starting this Sunday, mimosas will be served.
