Corey Avenue Sunset Celebration

- Time: 6-8 p.m.
- Why Go: Corey Avenue features music, local artists, crafts and food for all ages.

- Why Go: Help raise money for the American Cancer Society
- Price: $50 team registration
Ninth Annual St. Pete Pride Street Festival and Promenade
- Where: Central Avenue and 21st Street North, St Petersburg
- When: Saturday
- Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (Parade begins at 9 a.m.)
- Why Go: The ninth annual St. Pete Pride Street Festival and Promenade is the largest diversity and tolerance celebration in Florida. More than 80,000 people are expected to attend this event, which features floats from clubs, organizations, social groups and businesses, as well as dancing, beads, food and fun.

- Time: Check in anytime after 11 a.m. and hold hands at noon
- Why Go: Hands Across the Sand is a movement made of people of all walks of life and crosses political affiliations and borders. This movement is not about politics; it is about the protection of our coastal economies, oceans, marine wildlife and fisheries. The accidents that continue to happen in offshore oil drilling are a threat to all of the above. Even organizers say expanding offshore oil drilling is not the answer; embracing clean energy is.

Saturday Salsa: Free Dancing at the Pier
- Where: 800 Second Ave. NE, St. Petersburg
- When: Saturday
- Time: 4-8 p.m.
- Why Go: Bay Area International Latin Events presents free salsa dancing weekly in the courtyard of The Pier. Come for a free "Intro to Salsa" group class from 4:30 to 5 p.m., then enjoy the weather, the view, music, dancing and socializing.
