Why go: Held on the same day as the Ocean Conservancy's 26th Annual International Coastal Cleanup, this cleanup hosted by the City of Gulfport asks residents, friends, family, and local organizations to lend a hand for a few hours to keep the waterways beautiful.

Why go: Join animal lovers and dogs on this fun 1.8-mile walk through the streets of downtown St. Petersburg. The 3K Pet Walk helps raise money for the SPCA Tampa Bay to find new homes for abused and unwanted animals, reduce pet overpopulation, and raise awareness to end animal cruelty.

Zone 1 Crime Watch Halloween Block Party
Where: Hull St S & 7th Ave S, Gulfport

Time: 6 p.m.
Why go: Come enjoy a traditional pot luck block party, with live music, October 15th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. The Zone 1 Crime Watch Group is hosting a Pot Luck Block Party featuring the live music of Michael Hyde and the Impacs. Enjoy listening to classic 50's and 60's songs while getting to know your neighbors and taking a stand against crime.

Time: 6 - 10 p.m.
Why go: Take home a new piece of art, and marvel at the work of over 50 artists and crafters, as well as authors and entertainers stretched over a half-mile up and down scenic Beach Boulevard. Live musicians will be appearing at venues throughout the Village.
