Circus Arts With Tiele

When: Thursday, Sept. 15, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Where: City of Imagination/Gulfport Arts Center, 2726 54th St., Gulfport

Why Go: A month long workshop on juggling, acrobatics, and clown arts. Through fun and games children will learn the circus arts, while exploring their creativity. Class begins Tuesday, September 13th and are held on Tuesdays from 6-7pm and Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm.

Price: $15 per class or $100 total for 8 classes.

Tampa Bay International Coastal Cleanup

When: Saturday, Sept. 17, 9 a.m.

Where: Gulfport Beach (Meet West of the Gulfport Casino Ballroom, 5500 Shore Blvd. S. Gulfport)

Why Go: Keep Pinellas Beautiful, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and Keep Manatee Beautiful are coming together to help clean up our coastlines in several counties includes Pinellas County and right here in Gulfport. Come out on Sat. Sept 17 to help clean up Gulfport Beach and then come out and join volunteers on October 15 at 9 a.m. at Clam Bayou to help pick up trash. For more information call (727) 533-0402.

Canoe Lake Maggiore

When: Saturday, Sept. 17,  9 - 11:30 a.m. (Pre-registration is required)

Where: Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way, S. St. Petersburg, FL 33705

Why Go: Explore Boyd Hill Nature Preserve from a different perspective. Trained canoe guides lead a leisurely paddle from Lake Maggiore Park to Dell Holmes Park and back, investigating the shoreline along the way. Please register by Friday, Sept. 16.

Price: $3 for adults, $1.50 for children ages 3 to 16

Third Saturday Art Walk

When: Saturday, Sept. 17, 6 - 10 p.m.

Where: Downtown Gulfport on Beach Boulevard

Why Go: Sample local food, buy local art and watch live local entertainment at the Art Walk.

Price: Free

Lorri Hafer & Hafer House Jazz

When: Sunday, Sept. 18, 4 - 5 p.m.

Where: Catherine Hickman Theater, 5501 26th Ave S.

Why Go: Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association, Inc. proudly presents a Sunday Afternoon of Jazz with Lorri Hafer and Hafer House Jazz with Lorri Hafer on vocals, Mike Hafer on piano, Paul Hafer on bass, Mark Feinman on drums and Tom Parmerter on trumpet.
