How long have you been volunteering?

“Four or more years.”

What encouraged/inspired you to start volunteering?

“I’m retired and I wanted to do something useful with my time. Volunteering helps me and others.”

What do you like about volunteering?

“There is a nice group of people here at the Senior Center, and I like the variety of activities they offer to fellow senior citizens.” 

How often do you volunteer?

“Usually once a week unless there is a flea market.”

What keeps you interested in volunteering?

“Knowing that I am doing something useful with my time and helping other people.”

What do you like about Gulfport?

“It’s a small town and everyone is so nice! I also like the Tuesday morning market and all of the neat shops.”

How can the public help your organization? 

“We have a food pantry that helps a lot of people and it could always use more donations. People can also donate items to the flea market."
