Man 'Ok' After House Fire in Gulfport
No one was hurt when fire started in the kitchen of a home on the 4700 block of 29th Ave S. in Gulfport Tuesday night.
Gulfport Fire Chief James Marenkovic says a call came in at 5:54 p.m. Tuesday June 7 about a house on fire on the 4700 block of 29th Ave S. When officials arrived on scene, thick smoke and flames were coming out of the kitchen window and roof. Officials saw a neighbor trying to help by using a garden hose to put out the fire.
Marenkovic says one man inside made it out and was treated on scene and released.
"He's ok."

The , , St Petersburg Fire Department, Treasure Island Fire Department and South Pasadena Fire Department responded.
Officials blocked off 49th St., 48th St. and 29th Ave S. during and after the fire. As of 7:30 p.m. the roads were blocked off. Marenkovic says fire officials are coming in to investigate and determine the cause of the fire.
