O'Maddy's Wins Best Outdoor Lunch Spot

Maybe it's the million-dollar ocean views. The super-friendly staff. Or the tasty food.

O'Maddy's easily won Patch's weekly poll asking readers for their favorite outdoor lunch spot in Gulfport. O'Maddy's took 41 percent of the vote. Second place was Pia's, with 27 percent.

O'Maddy's is a local institution in Gulfport. The waterfront restaurant-bar welcomes everyone. Its location cannot be beat, with drop-dead views of the ocean and pier. The bar opens early, and there's something on the menu for all tastes, from the gator bites (yes, they're the real thing) and burgers to the homemade fishspread and mussels.

O'Maddy's wins a hearty congratulations from Patch as well as a "Best of" plaque worthy of hanging on the restaurant wall. O'Maddy's also will get a shoutout on Facebook and on Twitter.
