Photo Gallery: Camp Fun Day

As Gulfport Summer Camp draws to a close, campers enjoyed a day of games and prizes.

The Gulfport Recreation Center hosted the Gulfport Summer Camp "Camp Fun Day" on August 11, 2011. Campers celebrated the end of summer with bounce houses, games, prizes and a dunk tank.

Campers dunked counselors and Rec Center staff in the dunk tank and had Sno-Kones and popcorn.

Gulfport Summer Camp is for children ages 6 to 14. The camp is an eight week camp running Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This year's camp started June 20, 2011 and ends today, August 12, 2011.

Campers are offered free lunches daily and social activities. Among other activities held at the Rec Center, are field trips. Some of the field trips the campers went to this year include the arcade, St. Pete Beach, Tampa Bay Rays baseball game, Glazer Children's Museum, laser tag, Lowery Park Zoo, Buccaneer Bay Water Park and Walter Fuller Pool.
