Photo Gallery: Gulfport Elementary School Hosts Open House
About ten days into the school year parents had another opportunity to meet their child's teacher and discover more about the learning in store for them.
At Gulfport Elementary School’s Back-to-School open house on Aug. 31 parents had another opportunity to meet new Principle James Pribble.
Parents had about 45 minutes in their child’s classroom where they talked with the teacher and saw some of their children’s work so far this school year.
Children who came with their parents showed them some of their favorite activities and explored in the classrooms. About halfway through the 90-minute back-to-school night, parents with more than one child in the school could switch classrooms and meet their other child’s teacher. Parents and children walked around the campus checking out the cafeteria, art room and media center, as well.
