Photo Gallery: Senior Center Ice Cream Social

Scoop after scoop, volunteers handed out single and double orders of ice cream at the Ice Cream Social.  Wednesday's event lured dozens of people together to celebrate summer!

The event included live entertainment, complete with classic songs and oldies, games, door prizes and opportunity baskets. Of course, everyone got to choose from an array of ice cream flavors and toppings.

Sponsors included Greystone Health Network, Griswold Special Care,  and House to Home Relocation. Mel Coppola with Griswold Special Care handed out chocolates and sprinkles and marshmallows as ice cream toppings.

Ice cream was provided by Yummy's and Breyer's Ice Cream. Richard Reale with Yummy's helped scoop out orders for the line of ice cream lovers. And volunteers Sandy Adams, Fran Yeski and Phyllis Miller helped pile on toppings like caramel, chocolate fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles and cherries.

Flavors include: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, pistachio-almond, banana pudding, nonfat strawberry yogurt, no-sugar butter pecan and no-sugar vanilla.
