Rescue of the Week: 13-Year-Old Baby

Baby is a special little girl and needs a special person. Baby is a wonderful mixed breed dog -  a lilttle chihuahua, a little pug, a little beagle and a big heart. You may remember Baby as a former rescue of the week in January on Gulfport Patch. She has yet to find her forever home.

Baby was saved from a high kill shelter when no one else would take her. She has been in Chihuahua Rescue for two years. Baby did have a job when she came to the rescue, working as a greeter at the local Pasedena Pet Motel and at events but has since "retired".

Unfortunately, Baby lives with a lot of "young" ones - young dogs that is - and would like to have a quieter environment where she can just relax and enjoy the rest of her days.

Baby was originally thought to be 11 - 12 years old. In fact, she is around 13-15 years old. She is active and likes to go for walks in the cool of the evening. She enjoys cuddling and she will do anything for a good belly rub.

Baby has gradually lost most of her sight but hears very well, especially when the food bag is opened or treats are being given. She is housebroken and indicates when she needs to use the potty. She is great with all kinds of folks and older children.

Baby will be a forever foster and is looking for a forever foster home. This means there is no adoption fee or expense other than food, a nice home with lots of love.
