A very special plea for a very special boy. Hear why Boo Boo cannot be adopted, but is in need of a foster home.

Name: Boo Boo
Rescue: Limbo Chihuahuas - Chihuahua Rescue
Boo Boo is a very special boy. He is a senior cocker spaniel /chihuahua mix who is blind. Boo Boo is about 9 years old and has heightened hearing and smell and learns his environment very quickly.

He was featured as a Gulfport Patch Rescue of the week in December 2010 with the hope of being adopted.
Now, Boo Boo is looking for a forever foster home not adoption. He has a health issue that would prevent him from being adopted but not from being a wonderful and loving companion for a special person. You see - Boo Boo has cancer of the spleen. It is guessed that he has had cancer for most of his life and it is the cause of his blindness.

Boo Boo came into rescue with little information. His owner had gotton him from her elderly mother who stated he was blind all his life. When the cancer was discovered earlier this year, we had several choices. It was considered the best choice to leave the cancer tumor alone as it is strongly suspected that if disturbed his life would be compromised. Obvioiusly, he cannot be adopted but would still like a special home of his own.
Boo Boo has a great appetite. He loves to go on leashed walks and enjoys his freedom at the dog park. He is very dedicated to his human companion and will follow obediently. He is house trained and knows his way to the back door and front door very well - especially if he knows he will be going for that walk!
Boo Boo also likes to cuddle on the lap and snuggle. He is very affectionaite and often gets lost in the bussle of an active dog household.
The vets estimate he may live a short time or he may live his life span - easily another 2,3,4 years. It is hard to say. He would do well with another dog or cat but a quiet environment with less stress.
