String of Burglaries in Gulfport: Lock Your Vehicles
In the past 10 days, several unlocked vehicles have been burglarized in Gulfport. Authorities are reminding people to lock up their belongings.

Between June 20 and 26, there were 14 reported burglaries in Gulfport. Seven of those were reported in the same area between 6:10 and 9:30 a.m. June 23. In these cases, a person left a vehicle unlocked and someone came by, opened the door and took a navigation system.
"They're going into unlocked cars and stealing GPS systems," Sgt. Robert Burkhart with the Gulfport Police Department said.

- Eighth Avenue South
- Ninth Avenue South
- 57th Street South
- 60th Street South
- Luana Lane South
- 25th Avenue South
No arrests have been made in connection with these crimes.
Typically, "things like this are juvenile-related crimes," Burkhart said.
