Update: 18-Year-Old Dies From Crash Injuries

Alex Brian Taylor, 18, of Gulfport died Tuesday as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash on Monday.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Taylor lost control of his vehicle during a turn near 30th Avenue Northeast and First Street on Monday night. His rear tire scraped the west curb on First Street and split open. The Dodge he was driving slid out of control and into a tree.

Taylor's family has been notified.
