Sultry weather beckoned art and music lovers to Beach Blvd. in Gulfport, Fla., for Saturday night's Art Walk.
Good weather, creative artistry, strong support from local merchants and an array of musical and dining options made Saturday night's a big hit.
Gulfport Patch stopped by and saw that from painting, to beads, candles to lotions, creative hats,to photography, oils and trinkets, artisans offered tantalizing displays and a dose of goodwill at Saturday night's Art Walk.
A crooner in the courtyard of the sang Frank Sinatra standards, while an array of musicians entertained folks in the courtyard across the street.

A glass blowing demonstration, tastes of mango iced tea and some good nature joshing punctuated the event. Diners filled Gulfport restaurants as conversation and laughter wafted onto the street. Flickering candles and table lamps offset twinkling blue lights in the trees, setting the stage for a nearly electric night that included new connections.
Shoppers browsed in Gulfport's shops, which remained open till 10:00 p.m. Owners of newcomer Gate House Antiques, featured an impressive array of vintage items from Candlewick pattern Depression-era glass, to burled furniture, kitchen implements, a dazzling chandelier and a painting by a Florida Highwayman.

The Art Walk showcased Gulfport's signature conviviality and noteable array of talent. Strollers hugged one another and shopkeepers offered a warmth conjuring up small towns from another era.
