• Law enforcement veteran picked as police chief (palatkadailynews.com) — Interlachen's Town Council has officially named longtime law enforcement officer Dominic Piscitello as the town's new full-time police chief, following his interim service since July. He brings decades of experience with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and is already modernizing the department while emphasizing community-focused policing and stronger relationships with residents and local businesses.
   

• PCSO: Man damages patrol vehicles to get arrested (palatkadailynews.com) — An Interlachen man was arrested on Sept. 1 after allegedly calling deputies to Marion Avenue, then punching and damaging two Putnam County Sheriff's Office patrol SUVs, causing more than $4,400 in damage. Deputies say he repeatedly refused commands, requiring multiple Taser deployments before he was subdued and jailed on property damage and resisting charges.
