Natalac's 30th Year Big Birthday Bash featuring Benzino (thefloridastar.com) — Jacksonville hip-hop pioneer Natalac is bringing his 30th Annual Dual-City Birthday Tour home with a big finale on Friday, August 28 at the Majestic Event Center on Soutel Drive in Sherwood Forest. The Northside bash doubles as a video shoot, features Benzino and local artists, and offers $25 VIP tickets that include a tasting of Natalac's new "Chuuuch Wine."

Police rescue suicidal man from atop Dames Point Bridge on Saturday (actionnewsjax.com) — Jacksonville police safely pulled a suicidal man from the top of the Dames Point Bridge on Saturday afternoon after he crossed the barriers and halted traffic. Northbound and then southbound lanes were shut down during the rescue and a related crash, causing backups but resolving within about an hour.
3. Jacksonville rescue dog beats rare fungal disease as owner warns Florida pet owners (thecooldown.com) — A Jacksonville family's rescued golden retriever, Trout, survived a rare fungal disease linked to stagnant Florida water after months of intensive treatment. Now his owner is urging local pet parents to keep dogs out of questionable water, watch for digestive or skin changes, and seek veterinary care quickly if symptoms persist or worsen.
4. Immigrant sex predator receives more than two years in prison for illegally re-entering the U.S. (actionnewsjax.com) — A man previously convicted of sexual battery in Jacksonville and labeled a sexual predator under Florida law has been sentenced in federal court to two and a half years in prison for illegally reentering the U.S. Authorities say he was found back in Jacksonville this year, arrested on a probation violation, and will be deported again after serving his sentence.
