• FDOT Updates Weight Restriction on LaBelle Drawbridge (lakeonews.com) — Commercial drivers using the LaBelle Drawbridge on SR 29 now face stricter vehicle-specific weight limits of 26, 32, or 34 tons, effective immediately. Heavier trucks must follow a regional detour via SR 78, US 27, and SR 80, so local residents and businesses should expect changes in truck routes and possibly travel times around LaBelle.
   

• Hendry County School District expands employee healthcare access (lakeonews.com) — Hendry County School District employees in LaBelle will soon have easier, low-cost access to healthcare at Hendry Regional's Convenient Care Center on South Main Street, starting October 1. The new benefit includes primary care, labs, imaging, and pharmacy delivery to work sites, aiming to improve staff wellness and help the district attract and retain educators and support staff.
