1 Injured In Shooting Outside Lakeland Town Center: Police
According to police, a large crowd had gathered outside after a concert when shots were fired early Thursday morning.
LAKELAND, FL — Police are searching for a suspect after a man was injured in a shooting outside a Lakeland business Thursday, authorities said.
According to a Lakeland Police Department spokesperson, officers were patrolling the area near Lakeland Town Center on Memorial Boulevard after a concert ended. According to police, a large crowd had gathered outside the venue when shots were fired around 2:20 a.m.
According to authorities, officers found a 27-year-old in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where police said he was in stable condition.

Police said a potential suspect fled the scene following the shooting. Authorities said they don't believe the shooting was random.
