1 Killed, 2 Injured In Winter Haven Shooting; Police Seek Information
Winter Haven police are investigating a shooting that took place Monday night.
WINTER HAVEN, FL — The Winter Haven Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Monday night, killing one person and injuring two others.
Just before midnight, Winter Haven police officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. between 2nd Street Northeast and 5th Street Northeast.
When officers arrived, they found one man shot. Officers started life-saving measures before paramedics took him to the hospital. He died at the hospital.

Two other men involved in the shooting went to the hospital on their own. Both have injuries that are not life-threatening.
According to police, the shooting occurred during a pop-up party that attracted a large crowd of people.

"With the large crowd in attendance, somebody knows something," said Winter Haven Police Chief David Brannan. "I implore anyone who knows any information to contact Heartland Crime Stoppers."
