She said a deputy spotted a red car traveling at a high rate of speed moments before it crashed with a white sedan.
"The deputy pulled out onto Marigold to track down the red car and as he rounded a curve he saw that a crash had occurred," Horstman said. "Preliminary information indicates that the red car crossed over the double yellow center line and hit a white sedan that was traveling southbound, head-on, propelling the sedan into the air and into a ditch."

She said the deputy performed CPR on the driver of the red car but the driver was too far gone.
"The two occupants of the white sedan are also deceased on-scene," she said. "All victims are adults. We are in the process of notifying their next of kin at this time."
Horstman added that traffic was shut down around the crash scene Tuesday night. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
