1. Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market

When: Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (closes at 1:00 PM beginning in June)

The Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market, which stretches along North Kentucky from Lemon Street North to Oak Street, is a favorite local spot for fresh produce, baked goods, specialty food products, handmade artisan items and more. There’s live entertainment at the market most Saturdays, and parking is free on weekends in city owned lots, garages and street spaces.

2. SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo

When: April 14-19, 2026
Where: 3875 W Pipkin Rd, Lakeland, FL (main campus)

This annual Lakeland event is the second-largest aviation expo in the United States and draws over 200,000 visitors each year. Check out an impressive array of aircrafts, enjoy live entertainment and learn all about the world of aviation. 3. Bonnet Springs Park

When: Open daily
Where: 400 Bonnet Springs Blvd, Lakeland, FL

Bonnet Springs Park is the perfect spot to spend a sunny spring afternoon. Whether you want to explore the gardens and art installations, take a walk on one of the trails or boardwalks or take the kids to the play areas, there’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy at this local public park.

4. Downtown Lakeland First Friday

When: First Friday of the month, 6:00 to 9:00 PM
Where: Kentucky Ave, Lakeland, FL

On the first Friday evening of each month, five city blocks along Kentucky Avenue become a vibrant Makers Market and Exhibitor showcase with handmade crafts, delicious food and exciting giveaways. Upcoming monthly themes include Cinco de Mayo (May 1) and Family Fun Night (June 5). Check the website for all dates and event information.

5. Festival of Fine Arts

When: Select dates in April (see calendar)
Where: Robert A. Davis Performing Arts Center, 111 Lake Hollingsworth Dr, Lakeland, FL

Catch the tail end of Florida Southern College’s 2025-2026 Festival of Fine Arts with upcoming shows at the Robert A. Davis Performing Arts Center. 6. Blueberry Festival at Keel Farms

When: Weekends in April, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Where: 5202 Thonotosassa Rd, Plant City, FL

Take a drive over to Plant City to enjoy sweet spring produce at its freshest! Keel Farms is hosting its annual Blueberry Festival every weekend in April, where you can pick your own blueberries (while available), explore local vendors and food trucks and sip seasonal wines and ciders. There’s even a Kid Zone and camel rides for the little ones. Admission is free with a $10 parking pass. You can also catch the farm’s Watermelon Weekend on June 27 and 28, 2026 (see website for details).
