• Chance Encounter Puts Lakeland Fugitive Behind Bars (tampafp.com) — A 40-year-old Lakeland woman wanted on multiple theft-related charges was arrested Wednesday night after a Polk County deputy recognized her walking near 2nd Street NW and Pine Avenue NW. Deputies had just checked a home on Homestead Drive in Lakeland before spotting her and booking her into the Sheriff's Processing Center on an outstanding warrant.
