Motorcyclist Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash; Lakeland Man Wanted on Warrant — Polk County Sheriff's Office (dailyridge.com) — Polk County deputies are searching for 30-year-old Carlos Alberto Escobar Gonzalez of Lakeland, wanted on a warrant after a September 30 hit-and-run that killed a motorcyclist near Wabash Avenue and Parker Street. Investigators say he abandoned his red Chevrolet Suburban near the crash scene and may have fled the state, and they're asking Lakeland-area residents to share anonymous tips that could earn a cash reward.
