Bartow Police Make Arrest In Family Dollar Store Armed Robbery

Bartow Police have charged a 21-year-old Lakeland man with the armed robbery of the Family Dollar Store in January.

BARTOW, FL – Bartow Police have charged a 21-year-old Lakeland man with the armed robbery of the Family Dollar Store in January.

A man armed with a handgun entered the store at 775 U.S. 17 S. on the evening of Jan. 22 and demanded that the store clerks open the safe where he removed $1,600 cash.

Based on their investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kendrick Alontae Graham of 601 Beech Ave., Lakeland, but was unable to locate him.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, detectives received an anonymous tip indicating that Graham was in the vicinity of the 1000 block of East Church Street in Bartow. He was taken into custody, charged with armed robbery with a firearm and transported to the Polk County Jail.
