More than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur in the United States each year outside of the hospital. Bystander CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of survival but unfortunately, less than 46% receive CPR prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. Increasing awareness and education in the community can increase this percentage. Citizen CPR Inc is the only Non-Profit agency in Polk County whose focus is providing CPR, AED & First Aid Training courses in the community. All proceeds from this event will be designated to purchase new CPR Training equipment and provide scholarships for CPR Training within the community.
