Davenport Mayor Arrested For Illegal Handicapped Parking
Mayor Bradley has never been issued a handicapped placard.

DAVENPORT, FL – The mayor of Davenport is facing criminal charges this morning for using handicapped parking placards belonging to people who have died.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies began investigating Davenport Mayor Teresa Bradley, 60, a month ago after receiving a tip that she’d been parking in handicapped parking spaces at city hall but had never had a handicapped placard issued to her.
Deputies say they witnessed Bradley parking in a handicapped spot and placing a handicapped placard on her mirror before getting out of her car. When the sheriff’s office served a search warrant at her home, they discovered two handicapped placards issued to two different people.

“We expect our elected officials to set the proper example,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a press release. “She not only violated the law, she embarrassed the citizens of Davenport with her illegal conduct.”
Judd said his office has photos and video of Bradley using the illegal handicapped placards.
She was arrested on charges of Criminal Use of a Deceased Person’s ID, Possession of an Altered/Counterfeit Decal and Unlawful Use of a Handicapped Placard.
Bradley was booked into the Polk County Jail and released after posting a $2,250 bond.
