Downtown Lakeland Partnership Hosts Quarterly Girls Night Out

The next Girls Night Out is July 22, and Explorations V Children's Museum is offering fun for little girls that night, too.

The summertime installment of the Downtown Lakeland Partnership’s quarterly Girls Night Out is scheduled for July 22, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

This event is free to attend, and includes the opportunity to enter a drawing for a gift basket filled with items from a variety of businesses downtown, including restaurant gift certificates.

More than a dozen businesses are participating, including retail shops, spas and real estate agencies. Just stop by one of the participating locations to get a free map to the goodies and specials.

Explorations V Children’s Museum offers a “Little Girls Night Out” so moms can drop off their daughters while they shop. Bring your daughters ages 5-12 to “Little Girls Night Out” 5:30-8:30 p.m. While you’re out shopping, the girls will have fun with hair, nails and makeup. They’ll also get to explore the museum and enjoy snack pizzas and drinks. Cost is $10 for museum members; $15 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is required: (863) 687-3869.

Lori Long, the partnership’s new executive director, will be out and about during the event handing out coupons donated by Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grill for free fried green tomatoes or pickle chips appetizers.
