POLK COUNTY, FL – Something posted on Facebook reportedly spurred an argument and scuffle between a man, his ex-girlfriend and current girlfriend Thursday evening that included a spit to a face, a gunshot fired and ended with a double arrest in Polk County, according to authorities.
Officers responded around 6:30 p.m. to a home on the 2300 block of Whispering Trails Place after a caller reported a fight and a gunshot in the neighborhood, the Winter Haven Police Department said.
The resident at the address, 24-year-old Colecia Wilson, told police she was outside with her children when her ex-boyfriend, Charles Sigler, 24, and his current girlfriend, Monica Little, 23, both of Winter Haven, drove up to her home.

Wilson said Little exited the vehicle, approached her and started a verbal argument which then turned physical, the department said. According to the police report, Little allegedly grabbed the woman and dragged her across the yard and into the road before reportedly spitting in her face, saying, "Things are not over!"
Neighbors, meanwhile, escorted the children inside the home as the altercation began, police said.

The ex-boyfriend Sigler, who reportedly was standing beside his vehicle wearing a black trenchcoat and holding a sawed-off shotgun, fired one shot into the air, followed by Sigler and Little driving off in his car, police said.
Officers reported that Wilson suffered minor scrapes to her legs during the fight.
Police contacted Sigler and Little at their home on the 900 block of Hillside Court South, however Sigler, at first, allegedly denied any incident occurred or that he owned a weapon, later modifying that statement to saying he owned a BB gun, the department said.
Sigler allowed a search of his vehicle in his garage and officers found a shotgun with both the barrel and the stock of the weapon cut off to make it shorter, and with a ground-off serial number, according to officials.
Sigler reportedly admitted to firing "the shot in the air in an attempt to break up the fight and disperse the crowd that had gathered," police said.
Both Sigler and Little were arrested. Little was charged with one count of suspected simple battery. Sigler was charged with suspicion of possession of a short-barreled shotgun, altering/removing serial number from a firearm, possession of an altered firearm, discharging a firearm in public and resisting an officer without violence, the department said.
The pair was booked into the Polk County Jail.
Police did not disclose what was in the Facebook post.
