FWC Employee Accused Of Punching A Homeless Man: Sheriff
A 21-year-old man faces battery charges after a verbal argument with a homeless man led him to allegedly punch the victim, deputies said.
LAKELAND, FL — A 21-year-old Lakeland Florida Fish and Wildlife employee was accused of punching a homeless man in the face following a verbal argument, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
Police arrested the suspect, Kodie Andrew Cummingham on Thursday, and he faces charges of battery, according to authorities.

The incident took place in the parking lot of Defy, 6220 U.S. Highway 98 North, police said.

The victim was not seriously injured and refused medical treatment, deputies said.
Cummingham was taken to the Polk County Jail where he was booked in and then released on a $500 bond.

He was a civilian contractor at the FWC’s Tenoroc Shooting Range and was let go, Florida Fish and Wildlife told Patch in an email.
