Haines City Homicide Suspect Arrested in Texas
A 38-year-old man suspected of killing a Haines City mother of three children has been arrested in Texas.

HAINES CITY, FL – A 38-year-old man suspected of killing a Haines City mother of three children has been arrested in Texas.
According to the Haines City Police, the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office Apprehension Unit arrested Maclovio Salas early Monday morning, March 19.
He was found in his vehicle outside a home in McGregor,Texas. The Waco Police Department is currently working to obtain a search warrant for the vehicle.

Haines City Police offers were called to the area of North 18th Street early Saturday morning, March 17, after receiving a report of a gunshot victim.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old Ricio Mozqueda, was found outside of a home and taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to the Haines City Police Department.

Police identified Salas as a suspect in the shooting. He has three children with Mozqueda, ages 6, 14 and 17. All three were at home at the time of the shooting.
"As if this isn’t already horrific enough, the children were exposed to the scene with massive amounts of blood," said Haines City Police Chief James Elensky. "They watched their mother die in cold blood."
It’s unclear why Salas fled to Texas.
