Haines City Jogger Injured By Hit-And-Run Driver
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a jogger.

HAINES CITY, FL – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a jogger.
Adam Schumacher, 17, was jogging along Crest Lane in Haines City around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, when he was hit by a dark-colored pickup truck.
After hitting the teen, the sheriff’s office said the truck drove through a front yard and struck a van parking in a driveway before fleeing.

The sheriff’s office said the pickup truck most likely has extensive front-end damage.
The teen was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center with skull and facial fractures and a sprained ankle.
