Human Remains Found In Lakeland Area: Police

LAKELAND, FL — Human remains were found on Wednesday near the area of Fairbanks Street and Bella Vista Street, a police news release confirmed.

Detectives with the Lakeland Police Department are investigating the death, but are unable to confirm the identity or cause of death of the victim as this time.

The remains will be taken to the medical examiner's office for examination.
