Irma: How To Volunteer In Polk County
Polk County needs volunteers to help clean up the destruction of Irma, especially if you have certifications. Here's how you can help.

BARTOW, FL — From Polk County: The Polk County Volunteer Reception Center is now open at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex – 2701 Lake Myrtle Pak Road, Auburndale, Florida 33823. If you would like to volunteer, bring your photo ID and any licenses or certifications you have with you.
If you have pre-registered online, you will still need to come to the Volunteer Reception Center for assignment information and security clearance.
Visit the Polk County Volunteer website to complete the online Disaster Volunteer Application. Select the Disaster Volunteer button. Complete step one prior to visiting the VRC if possible. There will be paper applications available for those who need them.
