Lake Alfred Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On U.S. 92
The driver of the motorcycle who was killed in this afternoon's crash has been identified as 32-year-old Joshua Tibbs of Lake Alfred.
WINTER HAVEN, FL -- The driver of the motorcycle who was killed in this afternoon's crash has been identified as 32-year-old Joshua Tibbs of 54 Sunset Circle, Lake Alfred.
He was taken to Winter Haven Hospital where he died of his injuries.The driver of the other vehicle, a 2017 Nissan Altima, was 69-year-old Elizabeth Patterson of 720 Lake Jesse Drive, Winter Haven.
Patterson was transported to Lakeland Regional Health with minor abrasions.

At 12:27 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, , Tibbs was operating his 2012 Suzuki motorcycle at a high rate of speed while traveling east on U.S. 92 approaching the intersection of Jersey Road. Patterson violated his right of way when she attempted to make a left turn onto U.S. 92 from Jersey Road. Tibbs was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, but it may not have been properly secured.
