Lake Wales Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On U.S. 27

POLK COUNTY, FL — A 33-year-old Lake Wales motorcyclist has died following a crash at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Kokomo Road Thursday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:20 a.m. a car driven by a 27-year-old Davenport man was heading south on U.S. 27, approaching Kokomo Road while the motorcyclist was traveling north on U.S. 27.

At the intersection, the car turned left in the path of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist struck the passenger side of the car and died at the scene, troopers said.
