Lakeland Candy Shop Owner Opens Cafe in Winter Haven

Got Candy & More Owner Lea Williams has opened the Pink Table Cafe in downtown Winter Haven.

The Pink Table Café has opened in Downtown Winter Haven.

The café is at 226 W. Central Ave. and is located inside The Red Geranium boutique. It is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Owner Lea Williams, who owns Got Candy & More in Downtown Lakeland, held a soft opening for the café in late October and has a grand opening planned for early 2018.

Williams compares her café inside The Red Geranium to a miniature version of The Barn Antiques in Lake Alfred.

“I visited there years ago and loved it,” Williams said. “I always thought it would be cool to have a location like that, and I feel like we’ve created that on a smaller scale. You can shop for furniture, painted pieces, clothing and home décor, and then come to the Pink Table Café for a bite to eat.”

Lunch items include chicken, egg and pea salads, tomato salad with goat cheese and balsamic glaze, pimento cheese, turkey cranberry sandwiches and quiche of the day.

Williams offers freshly squeezed lemonade and cherry limeade, and the café is quickly becoming well-known for its red velvet cake hot chocolate, she said. Cakes and sweet breads also are available.
