Lakeland Police Investigate Shooting Death Of 38-Year-Old Man

Lakeland Police are investigating the homicide of a 38-year-old resident.

LAKELAND, FL -- Lakeland Police are investigating the homicide of a 38-year-old resident.

On Friday, June 8, at 1:52 a.m., the Lakeland Police Department responded to 519 W. Magnolia St., Lakeland, after receiving a call about a man in an alleyway with a head injury.

The man, later identified as Mack Holloman of 508 E. Memorial Blvd., Lakeland, was taken to Lakeland Regional Health where he died at 2:33 a.m.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit responded to investigate the incident and interviewed the witness as well as canvassed the neighborhood. Later in the day, the medical examiner determined that Holloman had been shot.
