Lakeland Police Make Arrest In Homicide Investigation
Lakeland Police have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the April 6 shooting death of Michael Robert Guthridge, 31.

LAKELAND, FL -- Lakeland Police have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the April 6 shooting death of Michael Robert Guthridge, 31.
Police indicted Ramon Turner for first-degree murder of Michael Guthridge at Putnam County Jail where Turner is currently incarcerated. He is being held without bond.
On April 6 at 12:11 a.m., Lakeland Police responded to 1668 Crystal Park Circle after receiving a call about shots being fire. Upon arrival, officers found Guthridge laying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. EMS arrived and pronounced Guthridge dead at 12:21 a.m.

After a lengthy investigation, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit have identified Turner as the shooter.
